The Best Looking Video You'll See All Day
"Clementine" by Megan Washington
This is a fantastic video made with tilt-shift photography. It gives the whole picture a "miniature" feel. I'll be trying some of it out this weekend actually. Enjoy!

OMG! The Perfect Video For Your Sunday Afternoon: World Builder
This award winning short was created by filmmaker Bruce Branit, widely known as the co-creator of '405'. World Builder was shot in a single day followed by about 2 years of post production. TWO YEARS. Enjoy.

Why Did It Take This Long For Everybody Else To Realize Jimmy Fallon SUCKS?
Check out what Alessandra Stanley of the New York Times had to say about the Jimmy Fallon 'Late Night' take-over.
"He looked nervous, even flustered, at first, and some of the prepared comedy was surprisingly lame."
"Most of his skits and routines, however, seemed written for the Web, not for broadcast."
"Remarkably, given how many months he has had to prepare, many of his supposedly wacky, Web-style pranks were oddly plodding and unimaginative."
Heh. Click pic for more.

Re-Build And Re-Post Of The Winter Mixtape
So I've managed to rebuild my Winter Mixtape that I made last year. With the fall of Mixwit, all my mixtapes disappeared and for some reason I didn't keep track of what was on this one, but I managed to remember about 95% of what was on it. So here it is again, just sit there, enjoy the winter weather and music that compliments it well by artists Sneaker Pimps, M. Ward, Iron & Wine, Boards of Canada, Neil Young, Frou Frou, Jose Gonzales, Ben Folds Five, Nada Surf, Interpol and more.

Alright everyone. I can't even begin to talk about how glad I am that it's Friday. I'm sure those of you starting the weekend when you get off work today can agree. Again, (for those of you visiting for the first time) this is all about music exploration. Expand your musical mind. That said, let's cut to the chase:

The Camera I Want To Make Love To...
The new Sony HX1 Cyber-Shot ($500) looks like it has it all.
With a 9.1 megapixel Exmor CMOS image sensor at its heart, the HX1 features a pro-quality 28mm wide-angle lens with 20x optical zoom. In addition to being able to achieve burst speeds of 10 frames per second (read: 10 action photos in one second), the camera has new sweep panorama technology, which can help you take 224-degree panorama shots in one simple press-and-sweep motion. The HX1 also has 1080p HD video recording capabilities, recording at 30 frames per second using the MPEG4 AVC/H.264 format. Click pic for more.

Weekend Mixtape!!! 2/27/2009
I'm not sure whether this week went by quickly or not. I guess maybe it wasn't as busy as it felt. No matter. It's the weekend, so let's get started. Pretty solid Mixtape this week. Had my toes tapping for a good while.
As a reminder, because I know I've got new "listeners," you may not be into some of the stuff on these things. Maybe you're into strictly mainstream stuff. Or maybe you just like one type of music. The purpose of the Weekend Mixtape is discovery. Some of you maybe have never even heard of half the bands on these, but at one point, I hadn't either. So give it shot. If not, hopefully you'll keep coming back for the other content on Nothing For X.
This week: Wilco, Kennedy, Mellowdrone, Department of Eagles, Saosin, Feist, The Cars and more.
