Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Comics? When the F*ck Did THAT Happen?

So news is flying around that the new Mortal Kombat game is going to be MK characters against DC characters. I don't see how that came about, but it's coming soon. Oh. And there's no fatalities and less blood. Click pic.
